Felling trees, forest cooking, and building stuff out of wood… take a bird's eye view of things with work colleagues and keep your feet firmly on the ground. At Waldschule Bodensee, event participants can come to face-to-face with proper adventure. Deep within the forest near Bregenz lies the Waldhaus, which can play host to the most nature-based and grounded meetings possible. Between conversations or work tasks, take a step into the greenery for deep breaths of fresh air, a “forest workout”, a gentle stroll, or customised activities. There are basically no limits to the possibilities here. What’s more inspiring than fresh air, the power of nature, and a bit of activity to get the heart racing?
The Waldhaus and the forest are easily reachable from the centre of Bregenz or the state library. Getting there this way is in fact doubly recommended, so you can start a meeting in a unique way and also due to limited parking possibilities. Once up there, new perspectives just keep opening up. Indeed, forests are innately spaces of stability, growth and relaxation. During the experience here, stress tangibly falls away and fresh momentum permeates the entire group - especially when the senses are sharpened by survival strategies and activities. In between, you practise the art of taking short breaks - often something that needs to be learnt afresh.
The Waldhaus was designed by the architect Johannes Kaufmann from Bregenzerwald, and offers a kitchenette, toilets, an open fireplace and space for up to 40 people.
